ABOUT GLENN

Passionate about Developing People

Background

I began my professional career as an NHS Management Trainee before moving into roles in change and programme management, followed by 4 years working in peace and reconciliation positions in Northern Ireland. Most recently I have been working in the NHS in England supporting, leadership development, L&D, talent management and cultural change projects.

Coaching Style

A natural collaborator, I take a thoughtful approach to coaching by adapting my style and methods to the needs of the coachee. Not afraid to ask the challenging questions, I draw on, but am not limited to, the many CBT tools and techniques that support clarity of thought and action in coaching.

Areas of particular interest

I am passionate about developing people to reach their full potential, whatever that may be. Recently I have developed a particular interest in developing leadership in a collaborative context, that is, supporting leaders to develop the skills they need to meet the growing imperatives to system working.

Drawing from my experiences in Northern Ireland and supporting the development of system leadership in Dorset, my article on Peace, Reconciliation and System Leadership in Health and Social Care in England was recently published in the Health Service Journal

Training and Qualifications

As well as graduating from the University of the West of England in February 2018 with an ILM7 in Executive Coaching and Mentoring, I have honours degrees in Business from the University of Edinburgh, Divinity from Queen’s University, Belfast and a Masters in Theology from Regent College, Vancouver. I also hold postgraduate diplomas in Personnel and People Management and, Cognitive Therapy.
